Getting the most out of your Anti-Wrinkle

To enjoy the best results from your anti-wrinkle injections and to avoid any adverse reactions, it is important to follow your aftercare instructions. 

Immediately after your treatment, you may experience mild tenderness, bruising, and/or mild swelling and redness at the injection sites. This is common after anti-wrinkle injections and should resolve over the next 24 hours. If bruising occurs it may take up to a week to completely resolve. 

You may experience a mild headache after your anti-wrinkle treatment. If you require pain relief, paracetamol is recommended.

The effects of the treatment may start to become noticeable within 3 to 5 days, expect up to 14 days to see the full effect of the treatment.

 

FOR THE 24 HOURS FOLLOWING YOUR ANTI-WRINKLE APPOINTMENT:

• Stay upright for 4 hours following your treatment

• Keep the treatment area clean

• Do not touch the treatment sites as this can increase the chances of infection and the product spreading to another muscle

• Use only a quality mineral makeup and apply with a clean brush

• No strenuous exercise

• No saunas or sweating

• Avoid alcohol

 

FOR 3 DAYS FOLLOWING YOUR ANTI-WRINKLE APPOINTMENT:

• No face-down massages (for the next 48 hours)

• Avoid medications such as aspirin and ibuprofen

• Avoid excessive sun exposure

 

FOR 2 WEEKS FOLLOWING YOUR ANTI-WRINKLE APPOINTMENT:

• No other facial or aesthetic treatments to the area for a minimum of 2 weeks

• Avoid facials, peels, laser hair removal or waxing in the area

• Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen daily

• The product takes 14 days for full effect and it is recommended to attend a review at this time to assess the treatment outcome.

 

ANTI-WRINKLE ADVERSE REACTIONS

If you experience any of the below symptoms, please notify us promptly so we can organise an in-person clinical review:

• A ptosis (droop) of the eyelid, eyebrow or lower face

• Prolonged redness swelling and/or heat to the injection sites

• Prolonged itchy or burning sensation to the treatment area

• Extensive bruising or swelling

• Blurred or altered vision

• Difficulty speaking or saying words properly

• Difficulty swallowing or eating.

ANTI-WRINKLE RESULTS & LONGEVITY

Anti-wrinkle injections provide temporary improvement in the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. The longevity of the results depends on several factors, including the client's anatomy, metabolism, the desired outcome, and the dose of the treatment used. The average longevity of anti-wrinkle injections results is approximately 3 months. A lower dose may be indicated for patients seeking a more natural appearance, but it should be noted that a lower dose will result in reduced longevity of the results.
